Best Time to Visit Cuba
Cuba is a popular tourist destination where you will find entertainment for every taste and budget – from plain lazing on the beach and exploration of ancient monuments and buildings, such as colonial castles and fortresses that can be found in every corner of the island, to participation in spectacular carnivals. However, you should choose the time of your visit carefully, since weather conditions in the country vary greatly from season to season.
The weather in Cuba has two distinct seasons: the hot season and the rainy season. The rainy season runs from July to October. Heavy rains, squally winds, air heavy with moisture – very few people dare to spend their vacation in the country during the off peak wet season.
November marks the beginning of the hot season. The sun grows warmer with each passing day and so does the ocean. At the beginning of winter and in the middle of spring the temperature rarely drops below 25 degrees C and rains are few and far between. People from all over the world start flocking to Cuba to enjoy the bright sunshine and picturesque landscapes as well as spectacular carnivals and local festivals.
