The White Sand Island of Cayo Coco, Cuba
Though the island of Cayo Coco was named after the white ibis (coco), it’s the pink flamingo that appears on every picture of the island. It’s hardly surprising, since the island is home to a large colony of pink flamingos. The graceful birds have invaded every corner of Cayo Coco and are often caught on camera.
White sand beaches, turquoise ocean that is warm enough to swim for hours – you won’t find a better place to pamper your body and give rest to your soul. Besides, Cayo Coco is a popular diving and snorkeling area where underwater explorers can find fish of every size and color.
