Wedding in Brazil

Nobody could help dreaming about the Brazilian carnival. Bright, juicy, fabulous! And it absolutely can’t be otherwise when we speak about passionate and majestic, inviting and proud, mysterious and sincere Brazil? Every event, every holiday is a real carnival, bright and attractive, that emits lots of positive emotions!

That is what your Brazilian wedding will be like, that is how this amazing country will remain in your memory: sparkling, colourful and tempting. Brazilian wedding is an exotic cocktail full of energy. A bit spicy (like a favourite sauce Skordalia), very rousing (like samba rhythms) and having a fantastic aftertaste ( like the carnival itself).  

 Traditions

The bride’s dress plays a central role in this holiday. Traditionally it is sewed by hand using airy laces, wedding veil is richly decorated with flowers. So usually newlywed’s dress is an absolute masterpiece. You will feel perfectly during your photo shoots, as well as vowing fidelity, dancing and accepting congratulations of your guests. And of course,a groom shouldn’t see a wedding dress before the  ceremony.  Like in Russia it’s a bad sign.

Brazilian cuisine deserves a special attention.  There is nothing tastier than «capirinha» drink, more exquisite than «casadinhos» cookies and more exotic than guasado de tartaruga (stewed turtle). At large the Brazilian cuisine, especially wedding dishes, is a real feast for a gourmet. By the way, guest tables in Brazil don’t have number, in place of it they usually get the names of Brazilian cities. So don’t be surprised if you are invited to proceed to “Rio de Janeiro” or to take a sit at “São Paulo”. It doesn’t really mean that your guests have drunk too much  Batida de Cocа.

The prayer in Portuguese and the anthem of Brazil are essential parts of wedding ceremony. Then the newlyweds and their parents take the gifts.

Wedding budget 

An average cost of  Brazilian wedding is about 1000-1000 dollars, depending on your desire to “become Brazilian”. And of course let’s say some words about the choice of place for the ceremony. If you dream of a picturesque wedding on the ocean shore, you may choose between Angra dos Reis or Costa de Sauipe. If you want to enjoy a primeval Brazilian nature , you are welcome in Iguazu or Buzios. Your “urban” wedding may take place in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza or Brasilia.
