When is the best time for visiting the Maldives?
Before I used to read all these advertising articles of travel companies about the most comfortable season for visiting the Maldives or any other country prior to my trips. But having traveled for some years I gathered all the necessary information. This information is often differs from those proposed by admen who have never been to the Maldives ☺
Well, I’m glad to share my experience based on more than 15 trips to this heaven on earth.
1. Don’t believe when you are said that September and October are rainy on the Maldives and you’re not welcome in this period. The weather is great in these months.
2. The wettest month is August.
3. The hotel prices are much higher form December to March. Cheap hotels can be booked for June-October. These months are rather hot and dry. To compare: the same room may cost in September 150$, but in December — not less than 300$
4. The best period for the trip to the Maldives is September-November. I recommend you to book hotels in advance, in that way you can save up about a half of its price.
