Phuket. Seasons & Weather. Thailand
The weather in Phuket has three distinct seasons: the hot season, the rainy season and the cold season.
The Hot Season
The hot season runs from March to May with temperatures averaging above 40’s Celsius. Though rainy days are few and far between, the air is heavy with moisture. June is the hottest month of the year with sea temperature rising to 30-plus degree Celsius.
The Rainy Season
The rainy season runs from July to October. The wet-season rains are frequent but brief. Though it’s raining hard at nights, the days are hot and sunny, with half an hour showers occasionally interrupting the sunny weather. The season brings with it hot days and humid nights with temperatures hitting 30’s Celsius.
The Cold Season
According to veteran Thai travelers, the best time to visit Thailand is from November to February. The weather conditions mirror a cooler version of a typical European climate. The average temperature ranges between 29-32 degrees C. The sea is warm enough to swim (27 degrees C), and there is no excessive moisture in the air.
