Limassol – cheerful, noisy, crowded. Endless humorous parties, colorful carnivals, bright and vivid festivals will surround you giving a delight and positive emotions. I was lucky to take part in the wine festival accompanied with dances, songs and different contests. And, of course – plenty of delicious meal. Wine-makers generously treat everybody to a flavoured and exquisite wine. So, be sure the pictures of this event will be vivid and emotional!
Limassol is the main touristic center of the island. You can have a really great time here enjoying a boundless blue sea, tender sun and perfect service of local hotels. Its night clubs and discos are also «must visit». Don’t forget to taste a wonderful cuisine in local restaurants and plunge into joy in water parks. The culture programme in Limassol also deserves your attention. All the architectural monuments of the city witnessed important historical events of Limassol. The citadel, built in the end of 14th century, is a place where King Richard the Lionheart was defeated by the spell of beautiful Berengaria. So, it became the place of their marriage. Agia Napa cathedral keeps the coverlet that Veronica stretched to Christ on his hard way to the crucifixion. The Kolossi Castle was a sumptuous residence of many rulers.
