A wedding in
Italy is a real feast for those who has chosen a destination wedding. Italy is
in a list of countries where the registration of marriage for Russian citizens
is official. Imagine that your wedding ceremony will take place not in the
district registry office of your native city but in the Roman Capitol or on the
Grand Canal in Venice or in a medieval castle in some small Italian town.

Necessary documents for registration of marriage in Italy:
• Internal passport
• Foreign passport
• Birth Certificate (original)
• In the appropriate case: a certificate of divorce and the original marriage certificate
• In the appropriate case: a death certificate of spouse, and the original marriage certificate
According to Italian law it should take 300 days from the date of issuance of the certificate of divorce for the bride. It is no such limitation for the groom .
Please note that for the registration of marriage in Italy you must apply to the appropriate authorities in Rome or Milan (it is necessary to arrive at one of these cities first to give documents and then go to the place where the wedding will take place).
